Icy Goes Out on His Own
After returning home from the pokécenter, Icy decided
he'd go out on his own for a while and meet back with the group after the
auction. They exchanged a tearful goodbye wishing Icy the best of
luck. Icy then took his backpack and a sleeping bag and headed out.
He stopped by the pokécenter for a quick dinner then headed out for the forest
outside Celadon City.
It was a small forest, but Icy didn't care about that.
He just wanted a place no one would bother him at. It was getting very
late and the sun had already set. Icy was suddenly lonely. As he
reached for Porygon's pokéball, he put it back thinking about Abra. He
found Abra's pokéball and called him out. Abra appeared in front of him,
ready for battle. Icy calmed him down and said he just wanted to talk a
while.
"Hey, Abra. It's been a while."
Abra nodded. Ever since Icy had got Porygon, he couldn't put it
down. Abra had become just another one of his many pokémon. But now
Icy realized how lonely Abra was. "I'm sorry for not paying
much attention to you Abra. I wonder how all our friends are doing? Let's
find out." Icy had each of his other pokémon materialize. Most
of them just sat there staring at Icy and Abra while others, like the ten
Caterpie, played little games. Icy laughed as the Caterpies crawled over
each other. He remembered the times when he played games with the other
kids on his block. But that was before the accident that changed his life
forever. Not that it was any bad to be a Pikachu, there were just a few
things that only humans could do. Icy and Abra both joined in the games
their friends were playing.
They played late into the night and were finally so
wiped out, they just fell asleep right there. Icy had been playing games
with the Caterpie, letting them crawl all over him, and now they were still all
over him, asleep. Since they were deep in the forest where no one would
see them, Icy decided to just fall asleep for the night, since he didn't have
the energy to return them all to pokéballs anyway. Sleep overtook
him quickly and slowly began to dream about his old life. Abra and Porygon
fell asleep on each other as well, and the rest of Icy's pokémon remained
scattered around them. It was almost mid-night.
Random watched Icy leave and spoke up, "Guys. I
have been thinking. I am don't want to be a nobody. I have decided to put myself
through PokeMon Tech. I am going to leave you guys for a while. You are welcome
to stay at my estate for as long as you wish. Thank you, You're my best
friends." "Good luck Random." Everyone wished him well. Random
walked to the door, Ivan on his heels. Random set his map down and defined the
best path to PokeMon Tech. He set off.
After watching Random leave, the rest of Clan Caterpie
sat down to talk. "Maybe we should all go our different ways, and meet up
after the auction," said Tauras. Lonewolf replied "yeah, we could go
and see our old friends". Everyone agreed and they split up. Tauras called
out Charizard and hopped on. He flew to Cerulean City and went to the gym. He
saw Misty standing. "Hey Misty, it’s been a long time since I last saw
you," Tauras said. "Yeah, so how are your pokémon?" asked Misty.
"I have too many to give attention to all of them, so you can have some of
them, take my Cloyster, Slowbro, and Seadra," said Tauras. Tauras handed
Misty the pokéball and had a tear in his eye. He said goodbye to his 3 pokémon,
and left. His Charizard was waiting outside for him. He got on and told him
"Go to the small lake north of Celadon". Charizard flew to Celadon,
then went north and landed near a small lake. He sent out all of his pokémon.
Most of his water pokémon went into the lake and began
to swim around. Others went to sleep, or grazed in some grass. Tauras found a
small rock and fell asleep.
