After speaking with Mimic, Icy could hear some voices talking about the bomb rumors. “I better go. Maybe we will meet again some day Mimic.”
“Bye, Icy. Good luck!” Mimic disappeared just as strangely as it had appeared.
Icy moved in closer to hear the conversation.
“I heard that Team Rocket’s gonna blow the ship sky high. I’ll sell ya a Pidgey so you fly outta here if something happens.”
“That’s OK. I don’t believe such nonsense. I’ll be fine thank you.” The man walked away. The other just grunted.
“Hmm. Too many possibilities. They all lead to destruction. I’ve got to get out of here, before it’s too late.” Icy headed back to his room.
InsaneLlama and Random were there when he arrived. “We gotta leave now!” Icy shouted.
“Wooohhh, slow down there partner. What’s the rush. The ship won’t be arriving in port until tomorrow morning.”
“That’s just it. There’s a bomb. It’s going to go off before that probably. We have to get out now. Team Rocket’s probably after us too.” Insane looks at Random. They discuss a course of action and agree that the voyage has suddenly become too dangerous.
“OK Icy. But how do you propose we get off the ship?” Insane asked.
“I have Pidgey to fly on, and you have can ride on Porygon. He can grow to fit you and he floats on water.”
“Great idea. But what about the others.”
“Leave a note for them. If we all leave at once, someone might get suspicious.”
“I’m staying here.” Random said.
“Suit yourself. Good luck Random.” Icy replied. “OK. We’ll wait till dark.”
*** Midnight ***
“All right. Let’s go.” They got everything ready. Porygon appeared in the water. “Porygon, convert to water type to float and grow so Insane can fit on you.” Porygon began floating and Insane jumped on. Icy proceeded to release Pidgey. “Pidgey. I need you to fly me towards land, ok.” Pidgey nodded. Icy hopped on, and they were off. No one saw them leave as they disappeared into the night. They were only 20 miles from the mainland near Pallet Town. Following the stars, they hoped to reach land by morning.
Someone didn’t miss seeing the two escape the ship. Shining, he hovered back towards the SS Anne. “I’ll take care of you later Icy. I won’t be denied my destiny twice.”
