Part 1 of 4
    When last we left off, Mewthree had gotten the first badge, and met Christof, someone who betrayed Icy a long time ago.  Also, Lewis received information about a phantom Pokemon haunting Cinnabar Island.  Lewis and Mewthree can only conclude that it’s MissingNo.
    Lewis and Mewthree walked into the Cinnabar Island Pokemon center.  A Nurse Joy was looking over some medical reports.  “We’re here about the rumors of the phantom Pokemon.” Lewis says.  “I guess the first thing I should show you is what happened when it first appeared.” She replied.  She led Mewthree and Lewis down a long corridor into the permanent care ward.  There were lots of different Pokemon on beds, with medical equipment attached to them. “What happened to them?” Mewthree asks.  “They all belonged to trainers who attempted to fight the phantom.” Nurse Joy replies.  “Can you wake them up?” Lewis asks.  “Yes, but it’s risky.” She replies.  “Why?”  “Because as soon as they launched an attack on MissingNo., they started going insane.  They can’t do anything conscious without going nearly insane.  They were also defeated by MissingNo.” She replies.  “We have to find MissingNo. And stop this threat immediately, lets go, Lewis!” Mewthree shouts.  The two ran out of the Pokemon Center and started walking up the shoreline of the eastern coast.  After an hour, Mewthree said, “This is hopeless!  Why don’t I just shout out, ‘Hey MissingNo.!’”  Suddenly, a black cloud floated above the area and thunder occurred.  Then MissingNo. Appeared.  It looked like a glitched up screen on a video game.  “See?  You don’t have to follow the legends to get what you need.” Mewthree said.  He smiled and looked at MissingNo.  Three seconds later, a sharp pain hit his eyes.  “Argh!  My eyes!” Mewthree shouts.  “What?  What is it?” Lewis shouts.  Mewthree clutched his face and said, “I don’t know!  My eyes just started feeling like they were burning and being stabbed at the same time!”  Lewis looked at MissingNo.  Three seconds later, the same pain hit him.  “Argh!  It’s MissingNo.!  We have to battle him!  Pidgeotto, go!” Lewis shouts.  “Prepare for Trouble and make it double!” Butch and Cassidy shout.

    “To infect the world with devastation!”  “To blight all peoples in every nation.”  “To denounce the aahhh!  What is that!  I feel terrible!” Cassidy shouted.  Cassidy had been looking at MissingNo.  “That, Team Rocket, is MissingNo.!  The phantom Pokemon.  Just looking at seems to bring you pain!” Mewthree responded.  “I’ll soon take care of it!  Raticate, go!” Cassidy shouted.  Raticate came out and was straight in front of MissingNo. “Raticate!  Super fang!” Cassidy shouted.  Raticate jumped up and bit MissingNo.  Immediately, it latched off and went nuts!  “Rat!  Rat!  Cate! Raaaaaaaaatttttiiiiiiiiiinnnnnggggggggnnooooooooo!  Ratissingno! Ratmissingno...  MissingNo...  MissingNo...  MissingNo.!  Missing!  Missing! No!  No!” Raticate shouted.  “What’s happening to it!” Lewis demanded.  “The same thing that happened to the other Pokemon.  It’s going insane.  It’s gotta be worse for Raticate, it actually bit MissingNo.” Mewthree responded. “Raticate, return!” Cassidy demanded.  Raticate melted into red energy, and returned to the pokeball.  “We’re going to have to work together on defeating MissingNo.” Mewthree said.  “Work together???  We’re enemies!” Christof shouted.  “Yah, and we won’t be enemies forever if that thing gets any more powerful!” Lewis says.  “Alright, we work together, but for now! Once it is defeated, we’re right back to being enemies!” Christof shouted. They turned to face MissingNo.  Mewthree cast a darkness shield around their eyes.  It would protect them from whatever MissingNo. Did when they looked at it.  When they were just about to attack, Mewthree felt like something was laughing at that moment.  And he was right.  From the void, Mewtwo looked upon them, and laughed.

    Mewthree fires a Psybeam at MissingNo., who quickly evades the beam. Cassidy fires rockets out of a launcher which go straight through MissingNo.!  “This is hopeless!  Nothing can stop that thing!” Christof shouts.  Suddenly, MissingNo. rams straight into Mewthree!  Mewthree gets hit not very badly, but then he clutches his head and shouts, “Ah!  What’s happening!  Missing...  No!  I won’t be another victim!  Must...  Fight... No...  Missing...  No!  I can’t let it!  Missing...  Missing... MissingNo...  MissingNo...”  Mewthree lies on the ground.  Mewthree was beginning to revert to his normal looking self!  But that was impossible! Lewis runs over to him and teleports with him back to the Pokemon center. But he doesn’t teleport back with Team Rocket...  Team Rocket saw the teleportation.  Then they freaked out.
    Mewthree was in critical care at the Pokemon center.  His human shape had disappeared, and he looked like a Pokemon again.  Lewis walked out of the Pokemon Center.  He remembered how MissingNo. glowed when one of them shrieked.  Like he was happy, or satisfied...  Or full...  The truth shocked into Lewis’s head like a thunderbolt from a Pikachu.  He began running back to the same coast where he had seen MissingNo. earlier.  He came up to the coast and saw MissingNo.  MissingNo. turned around, hoping to defeat him. And instead of Throwing a pokeball, instead of bursting out in tears for his friend, instead of attempting to run into the creature, he laughed.  Lewis began laughing hysterically at the creature, who suddenly stopped.

    “You’re not real!  You’re a figment of all the fear and terror people give off!  When Raticate went insane, it was afraid!  You glowed and got more powerful by all the more fear you consumed!” Lewis shouted at MissingNo. MissingNo. Just stood there, looking at Lewis.  “I’m right, aren’t I?  I figured it out!  I can’t believe it!  This was staring me in the face the whole time!  At first, it baffled me that such a Pokemon like you could even exist!  That’s when it hit me!  You’re not a Pokemon!  If you were a real Pokemon, you would have an appearance.  But you, you look like a computer glitch!  Something people don’t see every day!  The perfect form for striking fear into someone.  And to create fear, you need something fearful. You represent all the fear of someone so evil, his own fear forms into something else!  And I can only think of one:  Mewtwo.”  “And that’s where you’re correct, Lewis.” MissingNo. Spoke, to Lewis’s surprise.  “Yes, I was formed from Mewtwo’s fear.  Mewtwo had no fear, because he was ultimate. All his fear was rejected from him and formed into a single form.  And that’s me.  Mewtwo controls me, and I cannot be stopped.  Once I’m defeated I focus on the fear of something else, and then reform.” MissingNo. Explained.  “But there is a way to defeat you.” Lewis said with a smile. “How?”  “Humor, laughter, giddiness, basically having a fun time and enjoyment!  The opposite of fear!  That’s how to stop you!” Lewis said. Lewis began laughing and cheering for himself.  “Who’s the man!  Damn I’m good!  Oh yeah, oh yeah!  I feel indestructible right now!” Lewis shouted. “There is one place with plenty of fear.” MissingNo. Said.  Lewis stopped cheering.  “Saffron city.  People fear the Gym leader, and they fear all the members of Team Rocket who are there.  Speaking of which, your friends Butch, Cassidy, and Christof are at the local hospital, all their fear has been drained from them.” MissingNo. Shouted.  “MissingNo., I beg you!  Don’t go to Saffron city!  Please!” Lewis shouted with pleas and begging.  “Now Lewis, you begin to fear!” MissingNo. Shouted with a laugh.  MissingNo. Rose from the ground, and began flying in the direction of Saffron city.  “You’re making a grave mistake!” Lewis pleaded for one last time.  MissingNo. Simply flew.
    Icy was on the phone.  “Yes?  Yah I got the message.  Yep, Sabrina and I are ready.  She warned the people of Saffron of its arrival.  Don’t worry, we’ll stop it.  The combined force of all the Psi energy should be able to stop it.  I hope so too.  What?  Oh yeah, I’ll challenge them again. Sabrina will teleport me back in time for the first challenge.  See ya later.”
    MissingNo. Flew down to Saffron city.  It smiled inside.  A whole world of fearful people...  I will consume them all...  nothing will stop me!  I am chaos itself!  I am the face of death!  I am...  “Going to die!” Icy shouted from a rooftop.  MissingNo. Turned around and saw Icy, Sabrina, and hundreds of Saffron city citizens standing on the roof of the Silph. Co.  “What??? How???” MissingNo. Demanded.  Mewthree teleported in front of them.  “But I-...” MissingNo. Began to say.  “You attempted to kill me.  It didn’t work. One quick recovery from the Pokemon center was all I needed.  And when you attempted to infect my mind with your dumb name, I read your thoughts.  I knew about you, and how you were created.  I knew you craved fear.” Mewthree said.  “Did you read from my mind I was coming here???” MissingNo. Asked. Lewis teleported next to Mewthree.  “I filled in that part.” He said.  “You tricked me!” MissingNo. Said with hatred.  “No MissingNo.  You tricked yourself.” Icy said.  MissingNo. Was confused now, it felt itself getting weaker.  “Do you think that you could fight the combined might of the Saffron city Psychics?  With our combined might, and with the knowledge of who you are, there’s no fear for you to consume.” Sabrina said.  MissingNo. Couldn’t fly, it was falling towards the roof.  “Do not do this, I beg you!” MissingNo. Shouted.  “Nothing can stop it now!” Icy said with a smile. “Have pity on me!” MissingNo. Pleaded one last time.  “We have pity for you.” Mewthree said with no expression.  “Goodbye, MissingNo.  It hasn’t been pleasant!” Lewis shouted.  And with those final words, MissingNo. Evaporated.
    Icy returned to the Pokemon League to re-challenge the Elite 4, and become a Pokemon Master.  The people of Saffron returned to their lives.  All the Pokemon at Cinnabar Islands recovered slowly, but shaken from their encounter with MissingNo.  The trainers were happy to get their Pokemon back.  Mewthree traveled through Mt. Moon easily with Lewis and caught a Paras in it.  He was now in Cerulean city, ready to get his second badge. “Mewthree.” Lewis said.  “Yes?” Mewthree asked.  “Do you really think MissingNo. Is gone for good?” Lewis asked.  Mewthree let it hang.  All he knew was that the mysterious phantom Pokemon from Cinnabar Island that was actually all the fear from his father, Mewtwo, had been defeated.  He got his Pokemon healed at the center, and walked to the Cerulean gym.
